IATA Board appoints Saadia Zahidi as Director General
The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that Saadia Zahidi has been appointed by IATA’s Board of Directors to the position of Director General from 1 November 2026. Zahidi will be IATA’s ninth Director General and the first woman appointed to hold the position. GE Aerospace announced that National Airlines has committed to purchase one GE90-110B and six CF6-80C2 engines to power their Boeing 777F/747F cargo airplanes. Embraer and Azorra sign agreement for purchasing up to 30 E-Freighters
Embraer and Azorra announced an agreement for purchasing 20 passenger-to-freighter conversion firm orders and 10 purchase rights, bringing the total agreement to up to 30 aircraft.
