Airbus and LanzaJet have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on 22 June to address the needs of the aviation sector through the production of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Embraer to set up P2F conversions in China
Lanzhou Aviation Industry Development Group has become the launch customer for E-Jets P2F conversion in China after it signed a letter of agreement (LoA) with Embraer for 20 E190F and E195F converted freighters at the Paris Air Show last week. South Korea to develop 777F conversion facility
Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) on 17 April signed an agreement with Sharp Technics K and Incheon International Airport Corporation, to establish a facility for the passenger-to-freighter conversion of Boeing 777-300ERSF aircraft ,dubbed the Big Twin, in South Korea. IAI said the move comes amidst ‘expected’ demand for wide-body freighter aircraft capable of long-haul flights, such as the 777, which can carry up to 100 tonnes when converted for cargo use. Airbus has delivered the first A321neo aircraft assembled at its final assembly line in Tianjin, China, to Juneyao Air. The aircraft was commissioned at the Chinese facility in November last year and will join Juneyao Air’s existing fleet of A320, A321 and B787 Dreamliner aircraft.
