Emirates SkyCargo officially opened the first phase of its state-of-the-art cargo terminal at Dubai’s new Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) yesterday. Brussels sees 7.3% growth in cargo in Oct
Freight volume at Brussels Airport rose in the month of October by 7.3 per cent with the full freight segment showing particularly strong growth of 27.1 per cent, thanks to the arrival of new airlines at Brussels Airport. The suspension of the activities of Ethiopian Airways, is expected to have a negative effect on growth in the coming months however. ANA targets pharma traffic out of Brussels
The first flight operated by Japanese airline ANA between Brussels and Tokyo's Narita airport took off on Sunday. The new service between Japan and Belgium represents the airline's sixth European destination and will play an important role in ANA's strategy of expanding its international presence and brand awareness in Europe. Scoot opens Melbourne route with B787
Singapore-based low-cost carrier and Singapore Airlines subsidiary, Scoot, received a traditional water cannon welcome on Sunday, when its B787 Dreamliner aircraft arrived at Melbourne's Tullamarine Airport. This marked the start of a new scheduled service to Australia's second largest city, with flights operating five times a week, rising to daily in peak travel periods. Fraport, WFS complete partnership deal
Fraport AG and WFS have completed the transaction for a strategic partnership in the area of airfreight handling at Frankfurt Airport. Under the agreement signed in July 2015, Fraport has sold a 51-per cent share in its Frankfurt-based Fraport Cargo Services GmbH (FCS) subsidiary to WFS, the world's largest independent air cargo handler.
