iPhone 6s: China to US by airfreight for US 72 cents
Online freight rate quoting company, Freightos has estimated the cost of shipping the new iPhone 6s via air freight from China to the US would cost Apple US 72 cents per iPhone package. This includes local China trucking and distribution to retailers amounting to 17 cents, making the pure airfreight portion only 55 cents. DHL Express’ CO2 efficiency rises 12% in Asia Pac
DHL Express has improved its carbon efficiency year-on-year in Asia Pacific despite a growth in volume of about 10 per cent. In 2014, CO2 efficiency improvement over 2013 registered 12 per cent across Asia Pacific with outstanding performance from Malaysia which registered a 21 per cent improvement, India at 15 per cent and Taiwan at 14 per cent. Polar Air Cargo Worldwide landed its inaugural flight at Singapore Changi Airport on 17 August, linking Changi’s freighter network to a new city link - Cincinnati, Ohio.
