UPS has announced that it has entered into a definitive purchase agreement to acquire Coyote Logistics, a technologydriven, non-asset based truckload freight brokerage company for US$1.8 billion from its current owner Warburg Pincus. Xiamen Airlines has awarded a new three-year road feeder services contract to Jan de Rijk Logistics, extending its delivery network to over 100 airports across Europe. UPS Worldwide Express Freight is expanding its global express freight service, adding eight origin and five destination countries for time-sensitive, high-value heavyweight shipments. K+N sees strong profitability despite currency hit
Kuehne + Nagel reported “excellent performance” in the air freight sector for the first half of 2015, which helped the global logistics giant to post a 4.2 per cent rise in net earnings for the period to CHF 326 million (US$341.5 million), compared to the same period in 2014.
