Toll Group to sell express unit for US$386 million
Melbourne-based logistics provider Toll Group announced it has agreed to sell its express business to Australian private equity firm Allegro Funds for A$500 million (US$386 million), according to a press release. DHL Express is adding more air freight capacity to as it looks to serve the growing demand between Asia Pacific and the US and Europe for express shipments fuelled by the rapid growth of e-commerce. The express operator will deploy two B777 freighters operated by Kalitta Air and Aerologic and the scheduled flight routes will offer close to 2,350 tonnes of capacity each week. Cainiao bolsters air network from China to Americas
Cainiao Network has reached a special prorate agreement (SPA) with Atlas Air and LATAM Airlines as the company aims to address the limited cargo space between China and the Americas to deliver e-commerce parcels.
