Emirates SkyCargo will soon be adding the popular Indonesian Island of Bali to its Asia Pacific network, opening up a new trade lane between the island and the cargo carrier’s network of more than 140 destinations. AirAsia X eyes London, Hawaii
AirAsia X, the long-haul arm of Malaysia-based AirAsia, will spread its wings to the US for the first time later this year. The low-cost airline said in a regulatory filing Monday that it plans to begin four weekly flights between Kuala Lumpur and Honolulu International Airport on 1 November. Saudia takes delivery of B777 freighter
Saudi Arabian Airlines (Saudia) took delivery of its first B777-F, HZ-AK71 (msn 60337), in Jeddah on 2 April, following a delivery flight from Everett. The carrier has four of the type on order from Boeing, with the remaining three due to be delivered by the end of December. The move is in line with Saudi Arabian regulations set to outlaw the operation of aircraft older than 20 years of age. American Airlines Cargo has introduced three new mainland European cities - Athens, Lisbon and Venice - to its summer schedule for 2015. Cargo service between Lisbon and Philadelphia as well as Venice and Philadelphia commenced on 29 March. Service between the Greek capital, Athens and Philadelphia will start on 15 April.
