Hong Kong opens third runway for operations

The community at Hong Kong airport is getting ready as ‘operation familiarisation’ commenced with the first government and commercial cargo flights descending upon the new third runway last week. A Government Flying Service plane landed at around 0824 hrs on 8 July, followed by a commercial cargo flight operated by Cathay Pacific (CX 3251) from Shanghai Pudong at 0827 hrs. PACTL registers strong Q1 results

Shanghai Pudong Int’l Airport Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd (PACTL) has continued its growth path after recording the strongest annual results in the company’s history. Shanghai Pudong Int’l Airport Cargo Terminal Co. (PACTL) is in the final stages of building a new perishable centre. The new facility will enable the company to provide the whole range of temperature conditions needed for handling perishables and pharmaceuticals at any time. Shanghai Pudong Int’l Airport Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd. (PACTL) has achieved tonnage growth of 16.15 per cent year-on-year, reaching a total figure of 1,502,113 tonnes of freight in 2014. Shanghai Pudong Int’l Airport Cargo Terminal Co., Ltd. (PACTL) has achieved tonnage growth of 13.84 per cent year-on-year, reaching a figure of 147,267 tonnes of freight in November.
