China’s fourth-largest carrier said it plans to order 30 B787-9 aircraft as it seeks to expand international routes to tap into growing demand for overseas travel from China. TNT opens healthcare hub in the Netherlands
TNT has opened a new transport hub in Heerlen, the Netherlands, dedicated to the shipping of medical devices to European hospitals and clinics. The 2,000 sqm facility is located near the European distribution centres of 80 major medical device manufacturers. In service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, it will consolidate medtech shipments from multinationals and SMEs. Marken has opened a new logistics operations centre in Shanghai, China. Located close to both the Hongqiao and Pudong airports, the new office within the Zhangjiang high tech district is also in close proximity to several of Marken's existing pharma clients. LATAM cargo revenue down by 4.7%
Santiago-based LATAM Airlines Group narrowed its year-on-year net loss for 2014 to US$109.8 million from $281.1 million in 2013, drawn on this year's revenues of US$3.04 billion, which fell 1.7 per cent. Q4 net profit was US$98.3 million against a year-on-year net loss of US$46.1 million. Alibaba to begin S.Korean logistics service
Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group has announced that it will branch out its logistics services to South Korea this year through its subsidiary Cainiao Network, reports tech news portal Sina.
