BIFA has received information from a number of members concerning, so called, payment demands from IATA sent by email. Even more worrying is that the e-mail suffices (domain name) appear to clone the genuine IATA suffix (@iata.org). Fortunately, BIFA has observed that there are still ‘tell-tale’ signs to look out for, for example poor spelling is common, which a recent sample received by a BIFA member demonstrated, as it was from ‘[email protected]’. Freight volumes and passenger traffic at Al Maktoum International at Dubai World Central (DWC) reached record levels in 2014, according to the fourth quarter and year-end traffic report released today by operator Dubai Airports. Heathrow sees 3.3% cargo growth in January
Cargo at London Heathrow airport grew 3.3 per cent to 115,847 tonnes in January, compared with the same month in 2014. The January results included increases of 54.0 per cent to Mexico, 28.6 per cent to Brazil, 11.3 per cent to India and 11.2 per cent to Turkey.
