Latin America's Latam Airline group says its October 2014 load factor increased 1.6 points to 84.9 per cent and passenger traffic increased by three per cent while capacity increased by 1.1 per cent. DHL deploys new intra-Asia air routes
DHL has launched a new intra-Asia flight, connecting the economies of Thailand, Vietnam and Hong Kong. The flight commenced on 3 November, connecting Bangkok, Hanoi and Hong Kong five times per week. Utilising a newly converted B737-400SF freighter featuring a gross payload of 21 tonnes, the route will be operated by K-Mile Air of Thailand, a partner of DHL. Korean Air 3Q cargo yields on the up
Korean Air registered a 5.7 per cent increase in cargo yield in 3Q 2014 as its load factor rose 2.5 percentage points to 79.1 per cent. Its cargo arm, accounting for 22.1 per cent of total airline revenues in Q3, saw a 10 per cent rise in domestic cargo revenue sales in the three months to September.
