AeroGround seals deals with Etihad, AirBridge
Munich Airport's ground handling subsidiary AeroGround has succeeded in securing a long-term contract for landside and airside passenger and aircraft handling services with the Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways. A full handling agreement has also been signed with the Russian cargo airline AirBridge Cargo (ABC). The agreement with Etihad Airways covers the ramp-side aircraft handling through AeroGround. Cathay Pacific Airways and CHEP Aerospace Solutions, an independent provider of outsourced unit load device (ULD) and galley cart services, have signed a five-year renewable agreement for the supply and management of ULDs and pallet accessories. Manila to impose fine on overstaying cargo
The Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) has given an 8 September deadline for importers and brokers to withdraw their overstaying customs-cleared cargo in Manila ports. After the deadline, unclaimed cargos will be transferred to the Subic and Batangas ports, or any other location identified by the government, and all costs associated with the transfer will be borne by the cargo owner, the PPA said in a statement.
