Kuwait Airways, the national airline of Kuwait, has ordered 25 aircraft including ten A350-900 and 15 A320neo Family aircraft as part of the airlines’ fleet renewal strategy. Saudi Airlines Cargo has announced that it will increase its belly capacity on new international routes through the commencement of Saudia Arabian Airlines' passenger flights to Manchester and Los Angeles as of 1 April, thus offering new cargo opportunities to these destinations. Cathay cargo terminal officially opens at HKIA
The HK$5.9 billion (US$720 million) Cathay Pacific Cargo Terminal at Hong Kong International Airport, which began operations in February last year and became fully operational in October, has been officially opened. Chinese investment group, Henan Civil Aviation Development and Investment Company (HNCA), the investment vehicle of the Chinese province of Henan, is reported to have been given the green light to purchase the 35 per cent shareholding up for sale in state-owned Cargolux.
