ATRAN to lease 737-800BCFs from GECAS
Press release ATRAN Airlines has taken delivery of a 737-800 Boeing converted freighter (BCF) from GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) and a second is slated to deliver later this month to the scheduled express cargo carrier, part of the Russia-based Volga-Dnepr Group. ST Engineering, Temasek set up cargo jet leasing venture
ST Engineering last week announced that its wholly owned aviation asset management unit has entered into an agreement with Singaporean holdings company Temasek to set up a 50-50 joint venture (JV) for cargo aircraft leasing. The move comes as e-commerce and air cargo volumes have resulted to a growing demand for freighter aircraft. Polar Air Cargo obtains CEIV Pharma certification
Polar Air Cargo is set to fly more pharma shipments after the cargo operator and its sibling Atlas Air obtained the Center of Excellence for Independent Validators (CEIV) Corporate Pharma credential from IATA. In pursuing the credential, Polar Air Cargo adopted standard operating procedures and completed a multistep process to train ground and warehouse personnel, including its vendors. GECAS to purchase 14 IndiGo Airbus neos for leaseback
GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) along with other ventures have agreed to a purchase/leaseback (PLB) arrangement for 14 Airbus narrowbody aircraft with Indian budget airline IndiGo. Consisting seven A320neos and seven A321neos, powered by LEAP engines, the aircraft are scheduled to be delivered between the fourth quarter of 2021 and the middle of 2022.
