TNT has opened a new transport hub in Heerlen, the Netherlands, dedicated to the shipping of medical devices to European hospitals and clinics. The 2,000 sqm facility is located near the European distribution centres of 80 major medical device manufacturers. Finnair to build new cargo terminal
Finnair plans to invest approximately €80 million (US$87.76 million) into a new cargo terminal at Helsinki Airport, near the airline’s technical operations area. Construction of the 377,000-square-foot facility is to begin immediately, with opening anticipated for spring 2017. Marken opens Shanghai pharma logistics centre
Marken has opened a new logistics operations centre in Shanghai, China. Located close to both the Hongqiao and Pudong airports, the new office within the Zhangjiang high tech district is also in close proximity to several of Marken's existing pharma clients. Alibaba to begin S.Korean logistics service
Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group has announced that it will branch out its logistics services to South Korea this year through its subsidiary Cainiao Network, reports tech news portal Sina.
