Air cargo upturn underway, but “fragileâ€Â
Signs of a clear, but fragile recovery in air cargo demand are being driven by companies restocking inventories which have run low, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) said on Thursday. Agility has opened a logistics hub close to Kuala Lumpur, boosting the company’s total warehousing capacity in Malaysia to over 34,000 sq. m. H1 revenue falls for Agility, net profit up 3%
Agility continues to report rising profitability for the first half of 2009, despite the ongoing global economic recession. Panalpina will not join price war
Presenting its results for the first half of 2009, Swiss-based freight forwarder Panalpina said the industry is involved in a “cut-throat price warâ€Â, adding that it would not participate because transport prices were well below cost.
