Nippon Express has started its high-speed service for consolidated air cargo from Japan’s Haneda Airport (HND) to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) from 13 October.

The “NEX-SPEED Super-Fast! Atlanta” is a direct service that transports airfreight on direct flights from Japan to the US Southeast.

The Japan-based logistics provider, which has its own facility (CFS) near the Atlanta airport, says cargo can be delivered on the same day within a 300-kilometre radius through the emergency delivery service offered by Nippon Express USA’s Atlanta office. 

“With operations at both the departure and arrival points being handled in-house, lead time is about a day and a half less than that of Nippon Express’ conventional services,” the press release stated. 

In related news, the company’s freight forwarding division in the US recently implemented CHAMP’s Traxon cargoHUB for its digital data exchange, joining more than 100 airlines and 3,000 forwarder on the platform.
