For the second month in a row, the worldwide average USD-yield improved month-over-month (MoM), this time by 1.0 per cent, down however, from last year’s MoM figure of +1.7 per cent. US FAA downgrades Thailand to Category 2

The US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has downgraded its safety rating of Thailand's Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) from a 'Category 1' to a 'Category 2’ rating, following earlier findings by the United Nation's International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) and its own recent assessment. IAG Cargo upsizes from A321 to B777 on London-Tel Aviv

From March next year, IAG Cargo is replacing its remaining A321 with wide-body B777-200s between London Heathrow and Tel Aviv. The twice daily service will be particularly beneficial to Israel’s fast-growing time and temperature-sensitive pharmaceuticals sector, according to IAG Cargo. Cargo continues to flat line, outlook “very difficult”: IATA

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight markets showing that air cargo volumes measured by freight tonne kilometers rose just 0.5 per cent in October compared to a year ago. Year-on-year expansion fell back from September’s faster growth rate with total cargo volumes in October shrinking 1.1 per cent from the peak of the uptrend at the end of 2014. FedEx Express (FedEx) has announced the winners of the first-ever FedEx Small Business Grant Contest in Asia Pacific.
