E-commerce giant Amazon looks to be taking steps to operate its own air freight service to compete with the likes of FedEx and UPS, with tests taking place out of DHL’s former US hub in Wilmington, Ohio. Stifel Logistics Confidence Index lowest in three years
For the sixth successive month, the Stifel Logistics Confidence Index has declined again in November, falling to the lowest registered in three years. The monthly decline registered in air freight was more moderate than that witnessed in sea freight, however, with the former was down by 0.4 points to 48.9, while sea freight dropped 2.8 points, amounting to 46.1. CEVA opens new multi-user warehouse in Malaysia
CEVA Logistics has opened its Central Distribution Center (CDC) 2 at Shah Alam, Malaysia, 25km from Kuala Lumpur. Constructed on the same site as CEVA’s CDC1 at Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam, CDC2 offers 33,000 sqm of additional warehousing and office space.
