Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) is set for the biggest expansion of its ground handling activities in Europe in over 40 years after being awarded full ground handling licenses to operate at Spain’s Madrid, Seville, Santiago, Oviedo and Vitoria airports. AAT speeds up cargo handling by 3 hrs
Hong Kong’s Asia Airfreight Terminal (AAT) has announced that it has set itself higher service standards to speed up the handling of general import cargo by up to three hours. Under the new service standards, the cargo breakdown time for passenger/ combi flights has been reduced by two hours to under three hours for cargo of less than 10 tonnes, and to less than four hours for cargo of 10 tonnes or more. Ten-year extension for Hactl
Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) has signed a new, 10-year extension of its handling franchise at the airport. 1st international flight for Cambodia’s Sihanoukville
The Cambodian port town of Sihanoukville saw its first international flight on 6 June with the launch of direct flights from Singapore Changi by Singapore Airlines’ regional unit, SilkAir which is flying the route on a charter basis in order to assess the market. “Three other flights are planned this coming December, a period during which outbound travels peak due to the school holidays in Singapore,” Silkair said.
