Air Transport Services Group, Inc. has announced that its Cargo Aircraft Management Inc. (CAM) subsidiary has committed to purchase three Boeing 767-300-series extended-range aircraft from Qantas Airways Ltd with delivery in the third quarterthis year. When converted into freighters, they will have a range of approximately 3,255 nautical miles, and a maximum payload of 54 tonnes. Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI), has announced that it has been selected by Transmile Air Services of Malaysia to provide one B737-200SF 8 Pallet Configuration, Passenger to Freighter Conversion. Hong Kong’s Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) announced that its tonnage throughput in May 2010 was 64,041 tonnes, recording a growth of 73 per cent compared with the same period last year. Export cargo registered 45,994 tonnes, a growth of 95 per cent when compared with the same month last year. Import cargo volume for May was 17,486 tonnes, up 36 per cent.
