Indian ground handling policy may be deferred
India’s new ground handling policy, which was vehemently opposed by carriers, is likely to be deferred by six months according to Indian media reports. The Civil Aviation Ministry has reportedly sought Cabinet permission to advance the date of implementation from 1 January 2009 by six months. Menzies Aviation axes 600 staff, closes HK office
Menzies Aviation has cut hundreds of jobs in its airport ground handling and cargo business to cope with turbulence in the airline industry. Some 600-staff have been cut across Menzies Aviation’s global operations in 118 airports.
