Singapore Airlines launched its inaugural flight to Houston on 20 March, utilising a B777-300ER. The four-times weekly service, via Moscow, provides the only direct air link between the Russian capital and Texas in Southwest US. BOC Aviation has finalised agreements with Air Canada for the purchase and lease-back of two new Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Scheduled for delivery to Air Canada in March and April this year, the aircraft will be leased to the airline for a period of 12 years each. These aircraft are part of Air Canada's current order with Boeing. SINGAPORE : BOC’s first B737-8 for India’s Jet Airways
Bank of China-owned BOC Aviation has delivered the first of seven new Boeing 737-800s to Jet Airways. A second aircraft will be delivered at the end of this month and the remaining five are scheduled for delivery in 2010 and 2011. All aircraft are on long term leases. JAPAN : More code sharing for JAL and China Eastern
Japan Airlines (JAL) has announced it will start code sharing on 6 additional routes operated by China Eastern Airlines (MU) between China and Japan.
