Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (Hactl) – Hong Kong’s largest third party handling company – has handled four temperature sensitive Arctic foxes for Air Canada Cargo travelling from Hong Kong to Montreal, Canada. Chi Chi and Cindy (females), together with Siu Chu and Yau Nam (males) were carried on a B777-200 by Hactl customer Air Canada Cargo. IAG Cargo to begin London-Santiago service this winter
IAG Cargo has today announced that it will be launching a new four-times weekly route to Santiago, Chile starting from its winter 2016 schedule. Operated with a British Airways B787-9, the service will offer customers a weekly lift of up to 3,360 tonnes into Latin America. In a move that takes sharper aim at the high yield segment of the air cargo supply chain, FedEx Express has opened its new FedEx Cold Chain Center at the FedEx Express World Hub in Memphis, Tennessee, US. India helps Cathay’s April figures stay afloat
Cathay Pacific Airways and Dragonair saw a glimmer of hope in April’s figures with a 2.1 per cent rise in cargo and mail volumes to 147,643 tonnes of cargo and mail in April, year-on-year. The cargo and mail load factor rose by 0.9 percentage points to 63.5 per cent while capacity, measured in available cargo/mail tonne kilometres, fell by 0.8 per cent and cargo and mail revenue tonne kilometres (RTKs) rose by 0.6 per cent. TAPA calls for more data sharing as cargo crime reaches 3-year high
