Qatar to increase capacity to Bengaluru
Qatar’s national airline is continuing its expansion plans in India with a significant increase in capacity on its flights from Doha to Bengaluru from 1 August 2015. Currently Qatar Airways operates a B787 on the Doha-Bengaluru route. Starting 1 August, the Doha-Bengaluru route operated by B787 will be replaced by a B777. Scoot increases Bangkok frequency, capacity
From 8 July 2015, Scoot will add three more weekly flights to its existing daily service to Bangkok's Don Mueang Airport, taking the total frequency to 10 flights per week. RJ receives its 5th Dreamliner
Royal Jordanian welcomed its fifth 787 aircraft, thus completing the assimilation of the first group of its 787 order. Royal Jordanian’s acting president/CEO Captain Haitham Misto said that the 787s that RJ acquired are a new, advanced generation of the 787. The five new airliners are working on RJ’s medium- and long-range routes, replacing the airline’s four A340s and one A330. Reinforcements on first Boeing 787
Dreamliner completed Boeing has announced it has completed installing reinforcements within the side-of-body section on the first 787 Dreamliner. The modification entails installing new fittings at 34 stringer locations within the joint where the wing is attached to the fuselage. Installations were completed Thursday. Boeing has announced that it has chosen its North Charleston, South Carolina facility as the location for a second final assembly site for the 787 Dreamliner program. Boeing said it evaluated criteria that were designed to find the final assembly location within the company that would best support the 787 business plan as the program increases production rates.
