Batik Air took delivery of its maiden pair of A320-200 (sl)s, PK-LAF (cn 6164) and PK-LAG (cn 6280), Skyliner Aviation reports. The jets are part of a 2013 order parent Lion Air Group placed with Airbus in 2013, entailing 60 A320ceo, 109 A320neo, and 65 A321neo. Aside from two A310-300s that featured in Lion Airlines' fleet between summer 2001 and spring 2002, the A320s are the first Airbus metal to feature in the Lion Air Group. AJW signs PBH contract with Qingdao Airlines

In partnership with China Aviation Supplies Corporation (CASC) in Beijing, AJW Aviation has signed a six-year contract to provide power-by-the-hour (PBH) support to Qingdao Airlines’ fleet of A320 aircraft. PACAVI Group and AeroTurbine plan start new programme to convert A320 and A321 passenger planes to freighters with commercial deliveries beginning by 2017. IndiGo Iinks US$2.6B aircraft finance deal

Indian low-cost airline IndiGo has signed a US$2.6 billion deal with Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd (ICBC) for the lender to finance more than 30 new aircraft. The announcement comes on the day Chinese President Xi Jinping arrived in India, where the two countries are expected to sign trade and investment deals worth billions of dollars. Etihad launches Dar Es Salaam service

Etihad Airways will expand its African route network with the launch of a daily service to Dar es Salaam, the largest city in Tanzania. Flights between Abu Dhabi and Dar es Salaam, which will commence on 1 December 2015, will be operated using A320 aircraft.
