Emirates SkyCargo has launched new cargo services from Dubai to Budapest. Garuda Indonesia will introduce Jakarta-Nagoya route in April 2015, to meet market demand and broaden its flight network in Japan. Emirates daily to Prague with belly capacity
In early July Emirates kicked off its daily non-stop passenger service to Prague, Czech Republic using an A330-200 aircraft with 16 tonnes of available belly capacity. Trade between the Czech Republic and the UAE has leapt from under US$26 million in 1993 to US$678 million in 2008, according to the Czech Foreign Ministry. Over 100 killed in Afriqiyah Air A330 crash
Afriqiyah Airways flight enroute from Johannesburg to London Gatwick crashed in Tripoli early Wednesday morning while on final approach, killing all but one onboard according to reports. The crash which reportedly killed all but one of the 93 passengers and 11 flight crew members leaving a field scattered with smoldering debris that included a large chunk of the tail painted with the airline's brightly colored logo. AFRICA: Afriqiyah Air gets first of three A330s
Libyan-based Afriqiyah Airways has taken delivery of its first Airbus A330- 200 aircraft for long-haul operations on routes from Tripoli to Africa and Europe. The new A330-200, the first of three ordered in 2006, will join Afriqiyah’s existing all Airbus fleet of two A319s and five A320s.
