Like neighbouring Dubai, Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) has reported ongoing growth in cargo and passenger movements with a 6.2 per cent increase in cargo volumes in August, year-on-year and a 12.4 percent rise in aircraft movements. Cargo and pax numbers up in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) says March traffic figures for Abu Dhabi International Airport show a modest, but non-the-less positive rise in cargo movements, up two per cent. Mail volumes increased by a massive 39.9 per cent, led by the increase in mail volume to the US and Australia, the ADAC said. Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC) has announced that the second runway at Abu Dhabi International Airport is now operational for arrivals and departures, following the completion of the main construction in early September and certification by the regulatory authority.
