Lufthansa Cargo opens new station in Hanoi
Lufthansa Cargo held a press conference last week as the German cargo airline opened its newest station in Hanoi. The carrier is adding the Vietnam destination to its global B777F route network for the winter flight schedule 2022/2023. Lufthansa has been flying two weekly flights to Ho Chi Minh City. With the latest shuffle in Lufthansa senior management, AeroLogic has named Katharina Prost as new managing director in charge of finance and administration. The former managing director at Aeromar, a joint venture between Aeroflot and LSG SkyChefs, has held the post as of 1 October, succeeding Martin Hirsch, who joined Austrian Airlines as head of finance in June. AeroLogic starts Shenzhen-Leipzig air cargo route
A new air freight route has been launched that will link the southern Chinese city of Shenzhen with Leipzig (LEJ) in Germany, Shenzhen Bao'an International Airport (SZX) announced last week. The route will be operated by German cargo airline AeroLogic, a joint venture between DHL and Lufthansa Cargo, with six round trips each week using a Boeing 777 freighter. DHL Express adds capacity in Asia over surging demand
DHL Express has added more than 2,000 tonnes to its weekly airfreight capacity to cater to rising demand for express shipments within Asia and between Asia Pacific and the US. A new freighter operator will grace the runway at Changi Airport to begin scheduled freighter services between Singapore and Australia.
