Two out of three ain’t bad, as the saying goes, but it was nevertheless a disappointment for Copenhagen Airport that after landing new widebody freighter services from Air China and China Airlines last year, it missed outon its third target, Jade Cargo International. Japan wants to link Haneda to Shanghai

Japan seeks to start direct fl ights linking Tokyo’s domestic airport of Haneda with Shanghai’s Hongqiao by the end of 2007, reducing fl ight time between the cities. Japanese prime minister Shinzo Abe said he wants the fl ights to start this year, Abe’s spokesman Hiroshige Seko told reporters in Tokyo. Tianjin airport starts transhipments to Kenya

Incheon sees massive transhipment rise

A growth in imports and in particular transhipment cargo helped Seoul’s Incheon airport counteract a decline in export volumes in 2006, enabling it to clock up an 8.7 percent increase in cargo volumes to 2,336,571 tonnes for the year and a 9.7 percent yearon year rise in March.
