Schiphol Cargo posts solid year after 5 months of growth
Amsterdam Airport Schiphol finished 2015 with a total throughput of 1,621,097 tonnes of air cargo – only marginally (0.7 per cent) down on the all-time record set in 2014. A strong fourth quarter saw the Q3 year-on-year deficit of 1.44 per cent after Q3 halved. Nippon Cargo Airlines took home the top prize in the ninth annual International Forklift and Pallet Building Competition organised by Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Ltd (Hactl) at its SuperTerminal 1 facility. Japan’s Yamato to buy into Malaysia’s GD Express
Malaysia’s GD Express Carrier (GDEX) has offered its 10 per cent stake to Japan-listed Yamato Group through its proposed private placement exercise. Air Partner, working on behalf of TNT Romania for the National Museum of Romanian History (MNIR), successfully helped to deliver a precious cargo of 445 treasured Romanian artefacts to China for the Treasures of Romania exhibition at the National Museum of China in Beijing.
