SkyTeam Cargo upgrades alliance-wide track and trace

SkyTeam Cargo has launched an upgraded version of its online Track and Trace tool to enable customers to track their shipments at every step of the way across the alliance's network of 850 destinations. Customers desiring to check the status of their freight with any of SkyTeam Cargo's 12 members can use Track and Trace by entering their airway bill number (AWB) on the skyteamcargo.com homepage. Asia-Pacific airports see flat-lined cargo growth

Air freight continued to be impacted by slowdown across Asian export markets and oil producing economies, according to Airports Council International (ACI), with July freight volumes flat in Asia-Pacific with zero per cent growth and the Middle East recording a decrease of -0.9 per cent. Qatar Cargo assists Gurkha charities in getting aid to Nepal

Qatar Airways Cargo has teamed up with English actress and philanthropist Joanna Lumley to help transport 5.3 tonnes of aid from the UK to earthquake victims in Nepal free of charge. The aid was collected by several of the Gurkha charities Lumley supports in the UK, but they had no means of transporting the shipment to victims of the humanitarian crisis in Nepal until Qatar Airways stepped in. LOT and JAL announce cargo cooperation

LOT Cargo has signed a cooperation agreement with Japanese Airlines Cargo (JAL Cargo) opening up new cargo opportunities between Tokyo and Warsaw for both carriers. As part of the deal, JAL Cargo will be responsible for selling cargo space on LOT’s  B787 Dreamliners and for handling aircraft at Tokyo’s Narita International Airport on the carrier’s three times weekly Warsaw – Tokyo route, which will begin from January 2016. Four Chinese airlines ‘allocated’ A330s
