Thai Airways has announced the latest step in its major restructuring plans that will see it sell off 22 of its aircraft and terminate freighter services as it struggles to overcome seven straight months of losses. Alibaba to begin S.Korean logistics service
Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group has announced that it will branch out its logistics services to South Korea this year through its subsidiary Cainiao Network, reports tech news portal Sina. According to South Korean newspaper JoongAng Ilbo, Alipay, the third-party online payment service under Alibaba, had held a promotional event on 11 March in Seoul, introducing its service with Cainiao Network. Abu Dhabi Airports said it handled 64,067 tonnes of cargo at its three terminals in February 2015, a 12.6 per cent increase when compared to February 2014. There were 12,852 aircraft movements in February 2015, which was a 15 per cent increase over February 2014’s figure of 11,174.
