DHX-Dependable Hawaiian Express has purchased an 18,000 square foot building encompassing warehousing and offi ce space in the Guamanian capital of Agana for its headquarters on that rapidly growing civilian and military strategic island in the western Pacific. AMERICA: Oak Hill Capital to acquire Southern Air

Oak Hill Capital Partners has executed a defi nitive agreement to acquire Southern Air, for an undisclosed sum. On closing, Southern Air will be combined with Cargo 360, an existing Oak Hill Capital portfolio company. Southern Air’s founder & CEO, James Neff, and his family will retain a signifi cant minority interest in the combined company, and Neff will serve as its CEO. AMERICA: NWA Cargo adds HAWB to CPS

NWA Cargo said that a new feature, House Air Waybill (HAWB) templates, has been added to Cargo Portal Services (CPS), the airline’s online booking engine developed in cooperation with other major carriers. The HAWB templates allow CPS users to save information and then recall or update the data quickly for subsequent airshipments. Last month, the European Commission adopted the fourth update of the list of airlines banned in the European Union. This list includes an operating ban of all Indonesian airlines as well as of the Angolan fl ag carrier, TAAG Angolan airlines, and of Volare Aviation Enterprise from Ukraine. EUROPE: Cargo flights commence at Parchim

German airport Parchim announced the start of scheduled cargo services with the landing of a B747-200F of Russian Tesis Airlines and a similar freighter by British MK Airlines last month. Both aircraft carried China made medical goods and consumer items to Parchim for distribution throughout Germanyand to the European markets.
