Western Sydney Airport opens up to air cargo operators
Western Sydney Airport looks to capitalise on air freight as it opened up for registrations of interest for companies looking to set up cargo operations in Australia’s soon-to-be air hub. ST Engineering, EFW sign A321P2F orders for Irish lessor
ST Engineering and Airbus’ joint venture, Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW), announced an order for four Airbus A321 passenger-to-freighter (P2F) conversions from Dublin-based leasing company GTLK Europe. Boeing eyes Latin America for B737 freighter conversions
Boeing has announced a new partnership with MRO provider COOPESA (Cooperativa Autogestionaria de Servicios Aeroindustriales) to add more freighter conversion capacity for the 737-800 in Latin America over the next few years. The US-based aircraft manufacturer predicts demand to reach 1,500 freighter conversions over the next 20 years thanks to growing demand from express and e-commerce markets.
