Qatar's much delayed Hamad International Airport began its first cargo operations with Qatar Airways Cargo carrying a shipment for Qatar Petroleum from Europe to Doha on 1 December. Maersk misjudged container-shipping demand

The Transpacific Stabilisation Agreement, which is made up of 15 major carriers, has recommended a general rate increase of US$400 per feu to come into force on November 15.
