Scotland has the worst postal service in the UK, according to the Royal Mail’s own fi gures. The six poorest performing postcode areas in Britain for delivering fi rst-class mail the next day are north of the border and had the lowest percentage of post delivered ontime in the fi rst quarter of 2007. Lhasa recorded a million plus passenger throughput in the year 2006. Recently released statistics in the CAAC annual report, showed a 21 per cent increase in passenger fl ow over 2005, and a 45 per cent hike in cargo/mail tonnage. Hyderabad’s new international airport will be ready by year-end and become operational in March 2008, according to a report in the Economic Times.
