Asia Airfreight Terminal Co Ltd (AAT) said its cumulative tonnage from January to July 2007 was 350,164 tonnes achieving an increase of 0.7 percent against same period last year. Yangtze River Express Airlines (YRE) last month started a new freighter service between Shanghai and Luxembourg, in a move to explore the overseas freight market and secure a fi nancial turnaround, Xinhua News Agency reported. Four Chinese carriers have applied to CAAC for the right to operate transpacifi c services in a market traditionally dominated by the country’s big three and their US counterparts.
