Garuda increases Jakarta-AMS frequency

Garuda Indonesia will reduce its flights between Jakarta and London Gatwick in favour of additional flights to Amsterdam. Operated with B777-300ER aircraft, the airline will increase flight frequency of the Jakarta-Amsterdam route from five times to six times a week starting from 11 July 2015. Cargo growth has “come off the boil”: IATA

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) released data for global air freight markets showing that growth continued to slow in May. Compared to May 2014, growth in freight tonne kilometers (FTK) was 2.1 per cent, the slowest rate this year and outpaced by a capacity expansion of 4.3 per cent. On a year-to-date basis, freight volumes are up four per cent on the previous year, but much of that growth was realised in the latter part of 2014. Cargolux adds Turkmenbashi to its network

Cargolux has begun operating four weekly flights to Turkmenbashi, Turkmenistan - two from Luxembourg and two from Hong Kong from 29 June. Turkmenbashi becomes Cargolux’s fifth destination in Central Asia, together with Baku, Novosibirsk, Almaty and Tbilisi.
