Schenker goes green at its hub downunder
DB Schenker says it is building a green ‘mega-hub’ in Melbourne which will allow Schenker Australia to expand its forwarding and logistics operations at Melbourne’s international airport from July. Logistics confidence down, but some optimism
Overall confidence in the logistics industry has declined slightly in March over the past month, according to the latest edition of Recession Watch, by industry analyst group Transport Intelligence (Ti), but looking ahead respondents were slightly more optimistic than in the previous survey. On March 2 and 3, 2009 the Indonesia Freight Forwarder Association (INFA) held its 4th National Congress, an event which is conducted every 5 years. BIAL belly flops with Cargo Village
The 200-odd rooms (120 small rooms meant for freight forwarders and 80 large rooms for customs house agents) are part of the now four-month-old Cargo Village, created by BIAL to facilitate the cargo community.
