BOC Aviation has reported a net profit after tax of US$51 million for the 9 months ending 31 December 2007. CHINA: Big Q1 losses for China Airlines and EVA Air
Taiwanese carriers China Airlines and EVA Air reported first-quarter losses of TWD2.97 billion (US$97.4 million) and TWD2.29 billion respectively, with both carriers blaming high fuel costs. China Airlines' loss deepened from a TWD806 million loss in the same period a year earlier, while EVA's loss compared to a TWD331 million loss last year. CHINA: Spring eyes a fleet of 100 by 2015
Shanghai-based Spring Airlines plans to order 30 A320s and expand its fleet to 100 aircraft by 2015, according to Chairman Wang Zhenghua who added that the low cost carrier is awaiting regulatory approval for the order.
