After months of uncertainty following the declaration of its bankruptcy by its parent, Aeroflot Cargo has resumed flying a full freighter schedule. Aeroflot announced late last year that it was closing its separate cargo subsidiary, Aeroflot Cargo, declaring it bankrupt and absorbing back into the main group. EUROPE & CIS: Cargo plane lands on frozen Estonian lake
A cargo plane with engine and landing gear problems made an emergency landing in March on the frozen surface of a lake outside the Estonian capital, authorities said. Virgin Galactic, the world’s first space tourist company, announced that its commercial manned spaceship, VSS Enterprise, made its first ‘captive carry’ test flight on 22 March from Mojave Air and Spaceport in California.
