Cathay Pacific on major restructuring: cash burn ‘unsustainable’
Following earlier news about massive layoffs and cessation of its wholly owned subsidiary, Cathay Pacific confirmed a major restructuring as the pandemic-induced crisis continues to pummel the aviation industry. As part of the overhaul, Cathay Dragon will cease to operate with immediate effect, the airline said. HKIA’s cargo volume dips 4.4 percent in September
Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) reported a slide in cargo volume for September despite uptick in imports and exports as capacity remains constrained. The world’s busiest air cargo hub saw freighter movements improve from last month’s 21.5 percent, up 25 percent compared to the same month last year. SIA’s nonstop flights to New York shift to JFK with belly cargo in mind
Singapore Airlines (SIA) is set to return to New York on 9 November, when it launches nonstop flights between Singapore and JFK International Airport, as the carrier sees "some early signs of optimism about a recovery in air travel." This will be the first time SIA will operate nonstop flights to JFK. dnata teams up with local ground handler to amp up Indonesian airport
Air services provider dnata has inked a deal with Jakarta-based PT UNEX Rajawali Indonesia or UNEX, a local ground handling and cargo warehouse company, to enhance ground handling capacity in Indonesian airports.
