Bank of China-owned BOC Aviation has delivered the first of seven new Boeing 737-800s to Jet Airways. A second aircraft will be delivered at the end of this month and the remaining five are scheduled for delivery in 2010 and 2011. All aircraft are on long term leases. The Kingfisher Airlines-Air Deccan merger will be completed in April following a sale of shares that will raise US$300 million to finance immediate expansion needs. "At the present moment, we are in talks to appoint a suitable merchant banker for the share sale by the end of this month," Deccan Aviation VP-Finance Anand Ramachardran said.
