Qantas Freight has become a standalone entity after parent, Qantas established a holding company for the freight carrier. Qantas has transferred 50 per cent of its stake in the freight division to the new company Qantas FreightEnterprises. JAPAN: ANA looks to Shanghai to boost sales
All Nippon Airways (ANA) is aiming to boost cargo sales by as much as seven-fold by 2015 to US$6.4 billion byjoining with Shanghai Airlines. Establishing Shanghai as its eastern cargo hub on the mainland, ANA is eyeing other destinations in the mainland's southwest and northeast to drive growth in cargo. All Nippon Airways Co. (ANA), Japan's second-largest carrier, will set up an international cargo venture specialising in delivery to Asian countries, with two Japanese forwarders to takeadvantage of rising trade. Malaysian Airline System Bhd (MAS) said recently it has received astatement of objections from the European Commission (EC) for alleged anticompetitivepractices in air freight.
