Air Astana, the flag carrier of the Republic of Kazakhstan, is boosting services from Almaty to Bangkok from 1 October, with increases in aircraft capacity and frequency. EUROPE/CIS: New air cargo terminal for SAS Cargo
A new agreement doubling Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) Cargo subsidiary, Spirit Air Cargo Handling’s (SACH) capacity at Arlanda Airport, Stockholm, Sweden has been signed by Nordic Airport Properties. The deal will see the building of a new 15,000 square metre air cargo terminal at the airport by 2010. Spirit will be capable of handling up to 181,000 tonnes of cargo annually in the new terminal. Air France-KLM said cargo Traffic for the month of September rose 4.4 per cent with a 3.0 per cent rise in capacity.
