China’s national logistics trade value rose 25.5 percent in the fi rst half to 33.8 trillion yuan (US$4.4 trillion), representing a growth of 1.7 percent faster than that recorded in the fi rst quarter, Xinhua reported. Abu Dhabi airport has reported a 34 per cent increase in cargo traffi c in the fi rst half of 2007, compared with the same period in 2006. Cargo volumes reached 149,210 tonnes in the six-month period. Aircraft movements increased seven per cent to 39,300.
