Gulf Air is ordering nine new wide-bodied aircraft to boost its cargo capability. Kansai Airport said it will double the capacity of its air cargo terminal in plans made by the airport operating firm for the second phase of construction, The Yomiuri Shimbun reported. Japan Air Lines (JAL) has announced that following the introduction of new B767 freighters this summer, it will launch cargo flights to Tianjin and Qingdao from July 2007 and to Jakarta from October 2007.
