Airlines oppose ground handling policy
The new ground handling policy proposed by the Indian government for the six airports in the country has been opposed by sections of the domestic airline industry. Siemens said it has won orders worth more than 16 million euros for the supply of baggage and cargo handling systems in the United Arab Emirates. Air New Zealand (Air NZ) has described claims from the EPMU union that it did not offer a credible blueprint to avoid outsourcing its Airport Services work as "grossly incorrect."
