ABC results smelling like roses in February
AirBridgeCargo Airlines has reported a 15 per cent growth in its airfreight volumes in February, transporting over 37,000 tonnes across its global route network in Asia, Europe, North America and Russia. The airline's FTK rose three per cent over the same month last year when the airline saw an extraordinary demand for air cargo services due to the strikes at US ports. AirBridgeCargo Airlines (ABC), part of Volga-Dnepr Group, has taken delivery of two more B747-8 Freighters today. The aircraft are the first to be delivered as part a memorandum of understanding, signed between Boeing and Volga-Dnepr Group at the Paris Air Show in June 2015. Volga-Dnepr Group has supported a project to reintroduce endangered Przewalski horses in the Ural steppes of Russia. One of the Group’s B737-400SF freighters carried six of the rare horses from Montpellier in France to Orenburg, located on the Ural River some 1,500 kilometres southeast of Moscow.
